Longmont, Colorado, USA - May 2009 - nSpire Health’s Infant Pulmonary Laboratory has been chosen by the principal investigators for a large multicenter trial funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the NIH for centralized gathering of data from seventeen (17) sites.
This study, involving preeminent pediatric research institutions in the US and Canada, will utilize nSpire Health’s Infant Pulmonary Laboratory (IPL). The IPL, considered the standard in raised volume infant pulmonary function testing, remains the world’s only device utilizing the patented raised volume technique.
“This is a large project in terms of numbers of study subjects in the infant lung function testing world. nSpire Health’s involvement guarantees foundation investigators that the highest quality lung function results are collected and coordinated throughout the study,” said Dave Filbrun, Product Manager for the IPL. “We are excited to work with this group involving so many premier pediatric institutions on a trial with such positive potential clinical significance.”
